It’s brand new and hot off the press, it’s coming out at the end of this year! The Loire à Vélo passport will be your close companion on your cycle tour from Saint-Brevin-les-Pins to Cuffy. Find out everything about how it works and getting stamps here! 😊

Keep your travel journal to hand and collect stamps all along the Loire à Vélo. As you travel from place to place, you can collect 24 illustrations located in the different areas you pass through, from Saint-Brevin-les-Pins to Cuffy via Nantes, Angers, Tours, Orléans and many others besides. Whether you spend a day, a weekend or longer on the itinerary, create your own souvenirs!

Using your passport

Like a travel journal, you can customise your passport according to your desires. Record the date of your stage, information about your departure and arrival, the number of kilometres travelled, the duration of the stage and what the weather was like, as well as your personal memories.
This journal has been (lovingly! ❤) designed by the Loire à Vélo teams to allow you to keep a record of your favourite moments on this unique itinerary. You can flick through it in anticipation of your next trip and return to add to your collection after allowing your legs to rest and recover!

Collecting stamps

Each double page has a blank space where you can get your next stamp and write the “stamping location”. The 24 illustrations are all unique and reflect the identity of a given place on the itinerary. Our primary sources of inspiration for creating them were the Atlantic Ocean, the banks of the Loire and its vineyards, typical villages and bridges, regional specialities and of course the majestic châteaux. Each one depicts an emblematic aspect of the area travelled through.
As a useful way of situating yourself on the route, each stamp also shows the number of kilometres remaining on either side: to Saint-Brevin-les-Pins on the left and to Cuffy on the right.

Examples: Nantes (left) and Châteauneuf-sur-Loire (right)

Finding stamps

Go to one of the 38 participating tourist offices to get your passport, which costs €9.95 (incl. taxes), and start filling it in with the illustrated stamps. Quirky and emblematic, they’re ready and waiting for you… some may even consider having them done as tattoos!
