From 8 June to 8 September 2019, board with your bike free of charge and without reservation on a dedicated train on the Orléans-Tours-Nantes/Le Croisic line. This train makes up to 3 daily round trips.
The train’s updated timetables can be consulted directly on the Pays de la Loire, Aléop and Centre-Val de Loire (Rémi) transport network websites:
From June 8 to September 8, 2019
Each train can carry 50 to 83 bicycles:
- between 33 and 66 free bike spaces are available per train. They are distributed throughout the train and are easily accessible from the platform.
- Each train set also offers 17 bike spaces in a dedicated area with an assistant to help board and unload bicycles. Its location will be indicated at the quayside on the passenger information screens. If your bike is not a standard bike, you should go straight to this area to avoid disrupting passenger traffic on the rest of the train.
All bikes no larger than a tandem are accepted on this train, subject to space available.
Cyclists are responsible for their luggage (panniers and other bags), which must be removed from the bike during the train journey to avoid obstructing other passengers and the boarding of other bikes. For more information, consult the infographic by clicking here.
Outside this period, self-service bike spaces remain accessible all year round on board the train. From 9 to 29 September, the Train Vélo Loire will be self-service with no personnel for loading and unloading bikes.
This Train Vélo Loire service is set up and fully financed by the Centre-Val de Loire and Pays de la Loire Regions.
