Gonzague Saint Bris was born in Touraine, in the royal town of Loches, and grew up at Clos Lucé in Amboise, Leonardo da Vinci’s final home. Writer, historian, and journalist, pioneer of independent radio, winner of the Prix Interallié, and founding president of La Forêt des Livres, this native son would retreat to write at his Chalet des Chasseurs, which you can visit during Heritage Days.
