Important fortified enclosure from the 12th to the 15th century, overlooking the confluence of the Loire and Allier rivers. This stronghold of the Dukes of Nevers was destroyed in 1617 during the Fronde civil wars. Substantial vestiges remain: the curtain walls, keep and several towers, one dating from the 15th century, dedicated to artillery.Spoken languages :English, German
