La Drain'Guette is continuing its programme of performing arts events at the Notre-Dame-du-Marillais water sports centre. This green site, popular with cyclists and walkers for its tranquillity, is regularly transformed into an open-air cultural space. From circus to magic to theatre, this year the venue is putting improvisation in the spotlight, welcoming 17 troupes from all over France for free events.
For this late afternoon, it's the region's neighbours who are taking to the stage: local troupe "La Cie de la Choucroute", from Le Louroux-Béconnais, will be putting on a performance from 6pm to 7pm. Audiences will be able to sit back and enjoy the comedians' repartee and imagination. There's also plenty for families to do, as the "kids' park" remains open with games and tractors to keep the kids entertained.
From 6pm, the atmosphere turns gourmet with the arrival of the "Food Lulu" foodtruck, which prepares galettes and crêpes on the spot. Combined with local drinks and aperitif boards from the guinguette, this catering service makes it easy to extend the evening by the water's edge after all the laughter.
