MOULIN DE L’ÉPINAY

The Moulin de l’Epinay, situated in La Chapelle-Saint-Florent between Angers and Nantes, reveals all its secrets. This windmill has stood the test of time and adapted to all the technological developments in milling. Even today, it continues to produce flour thanks to the dedicated volunteers of the ‘Un village un moulin’ association.

Discover how human ingenuity and the power of nature come together to grind wheat and produce wheat and buckwheat flour through the audiovisual and museum displays. Allow around 1½ hours for your visit, and you can also enjoy the outdoor areas and the view over the Loire Valley – the perfect spot for a picnic.

Workshops are held all year round for children and families, where you can bake bread and make other delicious treats using the famous flour.

Guided tours of the mill’s four floors are limited to 15 people per session (duration: 1 hour):
- FROM APRIL TO THE END OF AUGUST: Monday to Friday, at 2 pm, 3 pm and 4 pm
-SEPTEMBER: Tuesday to Friday, at 4.00 pm
-FROM OCTOBER TO THE END OF MARCH: open to visitors for group tours only (by booking)
