VIGNERON LOIC MAHE

In 2000, Loïc MAHE planted 1 ha of vines in Savennières, forged his first wines and created Domaine du Gué d'Orger on the northern banks of the Loire. Today, with the takeover of the Château La Franchaie vineyard in 2011, he is developing 9 hectares, mainly of white chenins.
His working philosophy is simple: to accompany the work of nature to produce authentic, distinctive wines, marked by their terroir: sandstone schists, altered schists, wind-blown sands...
- The vines are farmed organically (FR-BIO-01 certification).
- Yields are limited (40-70% of AOC authorised yields)
- The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand in 2, 3, sometimes 4 successive sortings.
- Vinification is carried out naturally, without the use of exogenous yeasts or chaptalisation ... to continue the spirit of the work carried out in the vineyard in the cellar. Sulphur is used sparingly.

The cellar is open by appointment only.
