The Artothèque disseminates contemporary art by lending original works from its collection and organising regular exhibitions and activities, both inside and outside its walls. It is also a place to learn about and raise awareness of contemporary art.
The two-month loan period allows everyone to build their own relationship with the work in everyday life, at home, at school or in the workplace.
The collection: to date, the collection comprises over 1,200 works by more than 430 artists. All these works belong to the city of Angers.
