La fête du vélo à Montjean-sur-Loire

The Fête du Vélo was launched in 1996. Every year in June, activities are organised to celebrate cycling. All over France!

To mark the occasion, stopover villages and a host of events are set up along the 116 kilometres of the Loire à Vélo itinerary that cross our region. In our area, the towns of Montjean-sur-Loire and Saint-Florent-le-Vieil are the beating hearts of this day dedicated to soft mobility.

For this special day, Montjean-sur-Loire will be transformed into a veritable showcase for the Loire's biodiversity. The quayside will be alive with a host of events, including talks, games, meetings with local craftspeople and concerts to punctuate your walk. Whether you're at the start or just passing through, there are safe loops, such as the Ile et Quais loop, where you can pedal in peace while taking in the sights along the river.
