Organised on the initiative of the Ministry of Culture, the 43rd edition of the European Heritage Days will take place this year on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026, with two themes taking centre stage: ‘Photographic Heritage’ and ‘Heritage at Risk: Revive, Resist, Reimagine’.
The Musée des Métiers welcomes you for self-guided visits throughout its opening hours. The weekend will feature a series of highlights exploring traditional crafts: on Saturday 19th, an introduction to writing with a quill and ink, linked to the exhibition “From Quill to Text Message”, will be held from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm, followed in the afternoon by demonstrations of spinning wool on a spinning wheel. At 3.00 pm, children aged 8 to 15 can take part in the “From Thread to Needle” activity, which includes a tour of the textile workshops and a thread art workshop (booking required, 10 places). Finally, on Sunday 20th, guided tours of the “Artisans du patrimoine” exhibition will be held at 10.30 am and 3 pm, with a limit of 25 places per session.
