Gardens laid out in the former cemetery of St Gems at Saintes-Gemmes sur Loire. They rise in terraces from the foot of the rocky outcrop overlooking the Loire to the Renaissance rectory located at the top of the hill.
Opened to the public in 1977, these popular and quite stunning and colourful terraces each have a theme and ensure a great variety of flowers and trees. They are truly a botanical masterpiece and provide an inspiring setting for many artists and writers. The panoramic views of the Loire are equally as breathtaking.
