Initiation et exposition autour du bois avec Xylocoop à la Drain’Guette

Located just a few kilometres from Saint-Florent-le-Vieil, on the Notre-Dame-du-Marillais water sports centre, the Drain'Guette showcases local players through a rich programme of events. This shady site, an ideal waterside stopover, is the perfect place to learn, create or share good times with the family. Between events, visitors can savour local produce on an aperitif plank, while the kids make the most of the "kids' park" with its games and tractors.

For this extended weekend get-together, the guinguette is giving carte blanche to the "Xylocoop" shared workshop to celebrate manual work and wood in all its forms.

On Saturday, you can admire an exhibition of unique creations and watch the craftsman demonstrating woodcarving. At the end of the afternoon, it's time to get hands-on with the "Fabrique ta toupie" workshop, where young and old can try their hand at handling the tools. On Sunday, the activities continue with a captivating woodturning demonstration and new sessions on making handcrafted spinning tops.

To treat visitors to a feast of culinary delights after all these great discoveries, there's a different menu every evening at the water sports centre:
- Saturday (from 7pm): The "Food Lulu" foodtruck will be on hand to treat you to its homemade galettes and crêpes.
- Sunday (from 6pm): The "Boit'o'pates" foodtruck takes over to round off the weekend with fresh pasta.

These specialities will be added to the usual menu of local drinks and aperitif boards at the guinguette, offering the perfect way to extend those special moments along the water.
