A former sommelier, Jacque Février decided to convert to winegrowing: “We’d had a few experiences here and there, my wife is from Brittany and so am I, so we were looking for a closer relationship. We found a farm that was only involved in the wine trade, covering 6 hectares with 6 grape varieties (Gamay, Abouriou, Cabernet Franc, Melon de Bourgogne, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon), and everything was conventional (chemical treatments, etc.). But we’re gradually making progress, and have converted to organic via Nature et Progrès. We’re in a very dynamic area, we’ve set up an association called “Pinard et Jus”, 7 natural winegrowers with small shows, we help each other out a lot, for me, that’s what natural wines are all about too, we help each other out and it’s good to see this surge of solidarity.”
