Since 1992, the estate has borne the name "Tartifume", which comes from "tard tu fumes" ("late you smoke"), although the farm has existed since the 17th century. Originally, the men on the estate worked the land and reared livestock, in addition to growing vines. From the 20th century onwards, the estate focused more on wine production.
Today, the estate covers 24 hectares of vines. Various grape varieties are grown, including cabernet franc, grolleau noir, gamay and pinot noir for rosé and red wines, and chenin (pineau de la Loire) and chardonnay for white wines.
