Domaine de l’Alliance

We created our Domaine in 2024 here in Oudon in parallel with our respective jobs, while waiting to work here full-time and make a living from it.

PHILIPPE: I've always had a passion for wine, and after spending 10 years deepening my knowledge of French and foreign vineyards, I decided to return to the Muscadet region, to which I'm attached by my paternal origins. After visiting the region in search of a base, I settled on the banks of the Loire here in Oudon. This part of the region appealed to us straight away, not only because of its landscapes, but also because of its grape varieties!

WANDELINE: I'm also passionate about the world of wine, even if this passion came later than Philippe's. I wanted to set up my own business after completing my BTS VO studies in Montreuil Bellay and my degree at ESA. So we decided to embark on this great adventure together, and that's how Domaine des Vignes de l'Alliance was born.

Today, the Domaine consists of 2.5 hectares of vines that we recovered in their original state, with a lot of work to clean up, but also with great potential, since some of the plots were planted between 1942 and 1945. Eventually, we'd like to have around ten hectares of organic vines, and within 4 years we'll have planted 2 hectares of melon and 1 hectare of Gamay.

We want to keep the Domaine on a human scale to be as consistent as possible with our growing choices.
By trying to understand and tame our soils and our vines and by adapting to the vintage, we want to try not to be too interventionist in our wines, while leaving ourselves the possibility of doing so if necessary, because our objective is above all to make straightforward, faultless wines, while remaining consistent with our desire not to interfere too much. In short, we are trying, and will continue to try, to find a happy medium.
