In 1983, Pierre and his son Jean Pierre created “SCEV CHAUMEAU BALLAND et fils” by combining the birth names of Jean-Pierre’s parents, CHAUMEAU and BALLAND.
In 2008, following the death of Jean Pierre CHAUMEAU, Sylvie, his wife, took over the estate and has been producing and marketing the wine ever since.
Recently graduated, their children Alex and Anaïs work the terroir and the wines alongside Sylvie on 14ha of planted vines, to produce Sancerre Blanc, Rouge and Rosé.
