Today, all that remains of what was once a dolmen is a vast block measuring 5m x 3m – 10m x 1m15, which must have been the table raised by a single pillar.
However, in 1858, Mr Verger noted a table supported by four pillars at this point. In 1865, the table was still supported by two pillars (see Mr Orieux’s notes). In 1883, Pitre de Lisle described it as we see it today.
