The Moulin du Pé water tower is a nugget of 1950s Reconstruction architecture in Saint-Nazaire.

Although it looks like a triumphal arch, it is in fact one of the water towers that still supplies the town of Saint-Nazaire with drinking water. Built in 1954, its original shape - two cylinders emptied at the centre and linked by a staircase - earned it the "Remarkable Contemporary Architecture" label awarded by the French Ministry of Culture (formerly "20th Century Heritage").
