Board near the town of Bléré on a “toue cabanée,” a traditional flat-bottomed boat, for a 2- to 3-hour cruise. You’ll learn from our boatmen, who will share the history of the Cher River and explain the workings and ingenuity of the needle dams, invented in 1834. You’ll discover a diverse array of flora and fauna, traditional houses, mills, manor houses, and castles perched on the hillsides, as well as the charm of the
manual locks and lock houses.

While admiring the glow of the setting sun, you’ll savor local specialties paired with wines.
