Are you looking for a different approach to horse riding, where respect for the animal and human wellbeing take precedence over performance? Welcome to À Quatre Temps, a unique organisation based in Mesnil-en-Vallée (Mauges-sur-Loire), ideally situated between Angers and Nantes.

Here, we invite you to slow down and reconnect with what really matters through equine-assisted therapy and the practice of sensitive riding. An approach based on respect and trust.
Forget the conventions of classical riding. The organisation offers you a truly immersive experience based on listening, mutual trust and non-verbal communication. Whether you’re a beginner, an experienced rider or simply looking for a moment to reconnect, you’ll discover a relationship of equals with the horse or pony. To ensure you can completely switch off, each session lasts 3 hours or more.
You’ll take the time to enjoy the experience from start to finish:
- Grooming and care: to get to know each other and build a bond.
- Riding: to feel and communicate gently.
- Cuddling and returning to the paddock: to thank the animal and bring this special moment to a close.

The activities are supervised by Marion, a passionate professional instructor, who will guide you with care, at your own pace and according to your needs. You’re bound to find the option that suits you:
- Lessons and rides every week, all year round (from age 3) (for young and old alike!)
- Themed courses during school holidays (from age 8)
- Equine-assisted therapy by appointment
- Events on request
