Do you know how books were made in Joachim Du Bellay’s day? Long before printers and screens, texts were set character by character and then carefully printed on paper.
During this workshop, children will discover the secrets of the early printing press, which revolutionised the dissemination of knowledge during the Renaissance. They will then try their hand at calligraphy to personalise their creation and produce a unique postcard inspired by traditional techniques.
Amidst ink, paper and beautiful lettering, everyone will immerse themselves in the world of the earliest book craftsmen and leave with a creation worthy of a 16th-century workshop.
