The Association Musique à l'Orée invites you to an exceptional evening of musical friendship, virtuosity and passion. In the remarkable setting of the church in Liré, three talented artists will bring together their sensibilities to create a dialogue between generations around the works of two major figures of Italian Romanticism: Niccolò Paganini and Gioachino Rossini.
This concert will honour the great violin master Régis Pasquier, one of the most eminent representatives of the French violin school. Winner of the Prix Charles Cros and named 'Soloist of the Year' at the Victoires de la Musique awards, he was concertmaster of the Orchestre National de France and professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris for over twenty-five years. He is also recognised as one of the rare violinists capable of performing the complete Caprices by Paganini in concert.
Alongside him, violinist François Pineau-Benois embodies the new generation of great French performers. Trained by Régis Pasquier and a graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, he has won numerous international competitions and now performs in France and abroad. The artistic complicity between master and disciple promises a musical experience of rare intensity.
The evening will also be enriched by the presence of flutist Églantine Cailliau, whose sensitivity and musicality will add new colours to this programme devoted to melodic elegance and Italian expressiveness.
Through the works of Paganini and Rossini, the musicians will explore the bonds of friendship, admiration and inspiration that united these two geniuses of the XIXᵉ century. Between virtuoso brilliance, refined lyricism and instrumental dialogue, this concert will take the audience on a musical journey as brilliant as it is moving.
