Created 30 years ago in Montjean sur Loire (Mauges s/L) in Maine et Loire, on the initiative of former hemp growers in the Loire Valley, it shows how hemp was grown and processed in the region up until the mid-1960s to make rope, textiles, etc.
Celebrating its 30th year, the festival is taking over the charming Loire village and its idyllic setting on the banks of the Loire, with musical entertainment, biodiversity and do-it-yourself workshops, an eco-bio and craft market featuring more than 30 exhibitors, demonstrations on how to work with hemp, an exhibition on hemp trimmings, the creation of a mural, a Loire flotilla, wooden games, fireworks, catering and bars on the programme!
A must for thousands of visitors!
