Just after visiting Champtoceaux and its Champalud panorama, why not head to La Varenne for a different view of the royal river.
From the tower of the church of Saint Pierre, admire a majestic panorama of the Loire Valley. Once at the top, the viewpoint will allow you to see the commune of Le Cellier, the Château de Clermont, former home of Louis de Funès, and the atypical Folies Siffait site on the hillside in front of you. On a clear day, you can see a total of 17 surrounding church towers all the way to Nantes.
