While rehearsing Twelfth Night and As You Like It, comedies about love and the female condition, a troupe of young actors come to question gender identity and the deconstruction of roles within society. Through a reflection on these two works, they question the representation on stage today of these figures imagined by Shakespeare over four centuries ago: usurpation of identities, reappropriation of roles and functions, transgression, differences between gender identity and sexual identity.
In a dizzying succession of endless mirror games, mise en abyme and theater within theater, the fable questions the very function of the actor.
