Listen more often to things than to beings
Hear the voice of fire, hear the voice of water
Listen to the sobbing bush in the wind
It is the breath of the ancestors
This poem by Birago Diop is an invitation to set off on a musical journey and daydream with Toups Bebey, saxophonist and percussionist.
He invites us into the heart of a musical poem composed to the rhythm of the Repos Sauvage, the wind in the wild grass and the reeds of the river.
A musical siesta on the banks of the Loire as part of the Repos Sauvage 2025 festival.
Where? On the island of Chalonnes-sur-Loire, at a place called “La Baronnerie”, heading towards the “Tête de l’île”. 50 m from the Loire by bike circuit.
