The town of Saumur and the equestrian world have been inextricably linked since the late 16th century. It was at this time that the first equestrian academy was founded. Even today, the riders at the Ecole Nationale d’Equitation, based around the famous Cadre Noir, continue to train the top executives in international equestrianism.
The school offers guided tours, public presentations, Cadre Noir galas and numerous equestrian events throughout the year.
