The tomb of the Vendée general Charles de Bonchamps, illustrious leader of the Vendée Wars, created by David d’Angers, was installed in July 1825 in the abbey church of Saint-Florent-le-Vieil. 200 years later, the town of Mauges-sur-Loire is paying tribute to the soldier and the artist with 3 days of festivities! Immerse yourself in this historic adventure! Reconstruction of a Vendée camp during the Vendée Wars by the Cœurs de Chouans association. Come and chat with the various characters dressed in period costume. Sale of pancakes cooked over a wood fire (brazier).
