It was both a fishing port and a drop-off point for lime barges from downstream of Angers. Lime was sold as a fertiliser for farmland. Later, it was partially silted up by successive dredging operations on the Loire. Today, thanks to the work of many volunteers, it has been partially restored, enabling it to welcome boats once again.
This port is also the starting point for the Sentier Découverte de L’Estuaire.Pets allowed
