Just a few metres from the town centre, the Bouchemaine bridge is a popular spot for locals who come to enjoy the banks of the Maine river for a stroll or a bike ride.
It’s also a popular spot for fishing. The diversity of fish in the area means you can choose from a wide range of fishing techniques. From carnivorous fish such as pike, pike-perch and catfish, to strike fishing (feeder, big rod, etc.) and the search for cyprinid fish such as bream, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for!
A natural slipway is located next to the Bouchemaine bridge. This is the perfect place to launch a boat or float tube for on-water fishing. For larger boats, there is also a beautiful slipway downstream at the nautical base.
There are plenty of shops nearby, including a mini-market, restaurants and bars. For those wishing to spend a little more time, there is a campsite right next to the fishing course.
