La Pointe de Bouchemaine, a village of former bargemen, is full of charm with its narrow streets and alleys. Just a stone’s throw away, the Loire flows by, offering a pretty landscape. For anglers who like to fish off the beaten track, there’s an attractive fishing trail on offer. Pike, pike-perch, perch, catfish, asp and chub can all be found here, as can lure fishing.
Be careful, though, as you’ll have to make your way along the various spurs of the Loire, which were used to facilitate navigation in the past. The spurs of the Loire are made up of boulders and you need to be in good physical condition to fish this route.
If you fancy a refreshing break or a bite to eat, you can take advantage of the terraces of the bars and restaurants on the Place Ruzebouc in the heart of the village!
