The oldest choir in the Nièvre, with an international reputation, agreed to perform in the church of Le Chautay to open the fourteenth Nuit des églises in this beautiful 12th-century monument, a historic landmark, but also to help raise funds for the restoration of the singing of the bells of Saint-Saturnin. For some time now, although the bells still tinkle, they no longer sing as they fly.
After the concert, the audience will be offered a drink before continuing the evening with a guided tour of this beautiful Romanesque edifice, led by Melchior d’Aramon, honorary mayor of Le Chautay.
