Listed as a Historic Monument in 1977, this Neolithic menhir stands 2.60 metres above the ground.
It is also known as the Menhir du Quarteron de la Masure and the Menhir de Gamet.
Legend has it that people were advised not to approach it at midnight on a full moon, so as not to disturb the rounds of the goblins and korrigans or be taken to task by the fairies.
A picnic area has been set up here, and the Sentier Vert (Green Path) runs right next to it, allowing you to extend your walk along the paths towards the Canal du Bodon or the Grand’ville.
