Between Ancenis and Saint Herblon, the Grée marsh is a temporary marsh, a vast wetland of up to 450 hectares, home to a diverse flora and interesting fauna (many migratory birds: ducks, geese, teal, herons, as well as godwits, curlews, etc.). Observatory and signs on site.
The ornithological observatory at the Marais de Grée offers a panoramic view of the dry grasslands in summer and the large expanses of water in winter. You can get there by taking the footpath that starts at the Maison du marais.
Take advantage of the picnic area for a lunch in the heart of nature.
Maison du Marais open on Sundays from January to early May.
Free access all year round. Guided tour by PARI (2 €/pers. or 20 €/school class). Marked trails on site (Circuit des Marais). Méron marshes nearby.
