L’ombre de la main

The Médiathèque de Chambray-lès-Tours hosts the digital art show "L?ombre de la main", presented by the 1-0-1 company.

Like graphic and sound haikus, a succession of sumptuous tableaux where shadows guide us, of all ages, on dreamy wanderings. Shadows appear and animate on a screen, as does the shadow of a hand. Using sensors and a self-designed instrument - the koto - the puppeteer directs this ballet of digital shadows in real time, constructing an astonishing narrative populated by animals and small characters, against a backdrop of landscapes inspired by Japanese prints.
