LES VERGERS DE LA PETITE MOINIE

Welcome to Vergers de la Petitie Moinie in Saint-Rémy-en-Mauges! Sylvie and Jean-Christophe Clavreul took over the farm in 2018 with two golden rules: – preserve the terroir – passing on the cultural know-how of the farm’s former owners The orchard uses “integrated pest management” (treatment only when necessary and not on the fruit). It covers 5 hectares and has around 25 varieties, including a dozen old varieties such as Patte de Loup and Boskoop. The farm opens its doors to the public every week on Wednesdays and Fridays during the winter months, so people can buy local produce and stock up on apples (different varieties) and apple juice (pure pressed apple juice pasteurised and bottled on the farm). You can also find them at the Cholet market on Saturdays and the Ancenis market on Thursday mornings. Every year, the Vergers de la Petite Moinie open their doors to the general public as part of the “C’est quoi ton entreprise? operation organised by Ôsez Mauges in October.
