On September 20 and 21, Briare invites you to celebrate its history and industrial treasures during the European Heritage Days. The Pont-Canal, the Turbines and the Usine Élévatoire will be opening their doors for free guided tours, immersing you in the town?s rich heritage. This year, the event takes on a special dimension, with a chance to relive the year 1895, thanks to a host of activities in period costume: boat hauling, sea chanteys, demonstrations of old trades, tool exhibitions, concerts and skits. A real trip back in time to share with family and friends. Refreshments and food will be available on site to prolong this convivial experience.
