Guided tour of an artist’s studio
La Gouacherie is the very old house of the Indre ferryman (1280). The American artist Calder painted here for over 20 years without “disturbing the old order”, as he liked to say. The house has just been restored with the help of the Fondation du Patrimoine, and we’ve given it back a semblance of soul with a small memory room filled with memories that can be consulted on site or explained by authentic testimonials.
