The Bourg Dion mill is located in Saint-Rémy-La Varenne and has been listed as a historic monument since 1975. It was built in 1862.
It is a typical Anjou pivot-type mill. The mill has preserved its crankcase, its wing supports, its millstones and many of the mechanical drive parts.
It is one of the Anjou mills with one of the most imposing unburied “masses” or “cellars”. Its structure is made up of five vaulted rooms built of local stone and tufa. The tufa-stone extension dates from 1873.
