American guitarist John Scofield began his career performing with legendary artists such as Chet Baker, Gerry Mulligan and Miles Davis. His guitar work has influenced jazz since the late 70s. With his distinctive sound and stylistic diversity, Scofield is a masterful jazz improviser whose music generally falls somewhere between post-bop, jazz funk and R & B.
