GAEC DE LA THAU

With its dairy farm (goats and cows), the GAEC de la Thau produces butter, cream, cheese and plain, flavoured or fruit yoghurt. The herd comprises 83 dairy cows and heifers for replacement, on a 102-hectare site. The cows are fed with as much fodder as possible produced on site. The GAEC de la Thau is not certified organic, but it uses many plant-based products in its feed (minerals, vitamins) and veterinary products (cinnamon, cloves, thyme, rosemary, etc.). The GAEC de la Thau processes its own products. The farmers prefer simple things, which sometimes take longer but give better quality than fast-moving products that closely resemble industrial products. GAEC de la Thau products are sold exclusively via short distribution channels.
