THE GRAPE HARVEST, A TRADITIONAL CELEBRATION :
In the 14th century, the Château de Saumur was already surrounded by vines, as can be seen in the illuminated calendar of the “Très Riches heures du Duc de Berry”. September, the month of the grape harvest, is also illustrated by the Château de Saumur.
