It was in 1999 that Yann and Vincent were seized by a furious desire to brew their own beer. In 2004, La Fabrique des Bières d’Anjou moved into the premises of a former seed cooperative in La Ménitré, a village on the banks of the Loire between Angers and Saumur. La Piautre is brewed from organically grown malts and hops. A traditional beer, it is neither filtered nor pasteurised. From the Blanche to the Noire, La Piautre has it all! The Fabrique des Bières d’Anjou invites you to discover the ingredients and production of the oldest of alcoholic beverages.
