Ingrid Van Munster’s ceramics are little worlds evocative of the natural forces that move our universe. Up close, they plunge us into the traces of a gust of wind, a rain that never stops, a dawn or a light in the shade… Ingrid Van Munster conceives each installation as a playlet, a story she tells herself in which each piece makes sense as part of a group, but can also be isolated from it. By changing scale, her work takes on its full meaning. Her “Planets”, slightly distorted to the point of tearing, are a metaphor for our lives, which are strewn with wounds.
