EMBARQUEZ À BORD DU CINQUIÈME VENT, LE GABAROT DE LOIRE

Les Chalandoux du Vème Vent, an association of Loire riverboat skippers, offers gabarot cruises along the Loire from April to the end of October. The aim is to enable a wide audience to reconnect with this great river and gain a fresh perspective on its cultural, heritage, tourist and ecological significance.

Let us tell you the story of the Loire, one of Europe’s last wild rivers, this ‘great river of sand, sometimes wet’, as Jules Renard put it.
During this DISCOVERY cruise, come and explore the Loire landscapes listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and learn about the lives led by the Loire boatmen until the early 20th century.

Themed cruises are also scheduled throughout the summer: ApéroLoire at sunset, Echappées Belles, Les 5 Sens… featuring food and wine or beer pairings; Fauna, Flora and the Islands of the Loire, Musical Walk, The World of the Loire (mini-talks on board: archaeology, artists of the Loire…).
