Visit the church of Saint-Aubin, built in the 11th century on the initiative of the Count of Anjou Foulques de Nerra, in the Petite Cité de Caractère of Blaison-Gohier. Originally Romanesque, this church dedicated to Saint-Aubin was rebuilt in Gothic style in the 12th century. This fortified building features a vault with loopholes and firing slits, and has a remarkable medieval roof structure, with carved 15th-century oak choir stalls protected as Historic Monuments.
The church is part of the network of “Eglises Accueillantes en Anjou”, which are open to the public. Guided tours of the church can be arranged on request with a local association, Le Sablier.Spoken languages :French
