In Les Egrots, a small hamlet in the commune of Sury-en-Vaux, 4 kilometres from Sancerre, Michel and Laurent Thomas run a family estate comprising 17 hectares of vines on 3 different types of terroir. One cuvée is 100% Silex in white. The vines are spread over the communes of Sury-en-Vaux, Verdigny, Sancerre and Saint Satur (12 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and 5 hectares of Pinot Noir for the red and rosé). The production is harvested, vinified and bottled by them on the property.
