The Guillaume Boni ensemble, named after the Toulouse choirmaster and composer of both religious and secular motets, was founded in 2010 by Etienne Roullet. Comprising 20 singers, it performs mainly in Brittany and the Pays de la Loire region. Its conductor, Etienne Roullet, was assistant conductor of the Maîtrise des Pays de la Loire in Angers and currently conducts the Maîtrise de la Perverie in Nantes. Accompanied on the organ by Frédéric Labarre, titular organist of Notre-Dame de Toutes-Joies, the ensemble will perform works by César Franck, Francis Poulenc and Gabriel Fauré. Under the aegis of the association Les Amis de l'Orgue de Machecoul (LADOM), the Guillaume Boni ensemble invites the public to discover pieces for organ and choir composed by the great French musicians of the 19th century. The centrepiece of the concert will be Francis Poulenc's "Les litanies à la Vierge Noire de Notre-Dame de Rocamadour", a work not often performed.
