Beaugency: between nature and history

Beaugency is listed as one of “The Most Beautiful Detours in France”, and the town is home to a wealth of heritage dating back to the Middle Ages, such as César Tower which is an impressive 36-metre high square keep built in the 11th century. Another fascinating feature is the château, a former lordly dwelling that first belonged to the French crown before becoming the property of the Dukes of Orléans. In terms of nature, don’t miss out on a trip to the plant maze or a visit to the château’s hanging gardens!
