La Papposilène opened its doors in June 2022 in Saint Georges sur Loire (49). The young brasserie began with a limited range of what would become its “classics”.
Since then, Sarah and Paul have been busy expanding their range and looking for new flavours. From bitter to tangy, hoppy to peaty, the two partners invite you to discover different styles of beer.
The Brewery’s credo? To be reusable in the local circuit, with a focus on recycling resources and waste. The cooling water (from the brewing stage) is used for the next day’s brewing, the spent grains (malt residues after brewing) are fed to the pigs on the farm next door, the hops (all French) are composted after brewing, and the bottles are sent for cleaning after use. The brewery has held the Nature & Progrès label since 2023.
